Biography:
Miles Quaritch, specifically RDA Quaritch (Na'vi), is a major antagonist in the *Avatar* film franchise. He first appeared in *Avatar* (2009) as Colonel Miles Quaritch, the head of security for the Resources Development Administration (RDA) on Pandora.
Following his death in the first film, Quaritch's consciousness was backed up and transferred into an Avatar body, creating a Recombinant, or "Recom," version of himself. This RDA Quaritch (Na'vi) reappears in *Avatar: The Way of Water* (2022). He retains his memories and tactical expertise, now dedicated to hunting down Jake Sully and eliminating the Na'vi resistance. He is driven by revenge and a commitment to securing Pandora for human colonization.
